Out of their frustration of finding and booking a self-catering holiday came an exciting idea - a way to book holiday homes and apartments online, to provide holiday-makers with objective information and display the availability of that property online.

Early in 2000, ten individuals with economic and financial backgrounds got the website going. On 1 February, 2000, e-domizil was launched.
